Certification in game-based OT
We're building a certification pathway for occupational therapy practitioners who want to deliver game-based therapy with confidence. Here's the honest state of it.
The planned pathway
Level 1
Course
A structured course in game-based occupational therapy — the method, grading across formats, and documentation that reflects skilled service.
Level 2
Certified Practitioner
Demonstrate applied competency to earn a certified-practitioner credential in game-based OT.
Directory
Listing
Certified practitioners are listed in a searchable directory so families and facilities can find them.
Why we're building this. Continuing education on games in rehab exists today only as scattered, one-off courses — there is currently no certification specifically in game-based occupational therapy for clinicians. That's the gap this pathway is designed to fill: a real, structured credential rather than a single afternoon's course.
Design intention (not an accreditation claim). We are designing courses toward NBCOT-friendly formats — for example, contact hours that include a scored assessment can earn additional professional development credit. This is a design goal, not a current approval. We do not yet hold AOTA Approved Provider status, and we will not publish pricing, dates, or credit-hour figures until they are real and verified.
